Beginning poetry:
The flakes, of the new fallen snow, hit my warm face...
This along with freezing temperatures, introduces me to winter, a harsh mistress..
Who lures you in with her soft appeal, but after a while, you find yourself lost in an ashen haze, with no where left to go.
The isolation settles in, but you learn to endear it as your own.
The beauty of it all takes you to a warm place amid the bitterness, a feeling truly like no other.
Sprawling through the white, you can hear the faint laugh of children, or is it just your own?
Maybe, a reminiscence of what used to be...
Enjoy it, while it lasts.
Ending poetry:
As winter fades, its harsh grasp weakens, as blotches of blue and green dilate your pupils.
You find yourself basking under the sun's beautiful rays,
Warmth fills the air as you take first breath out of the cold, but curiously, you turn back around as the season makes its retreat.
You remember the serenity and splendor, of the unknown, but looking forward.....
It is now spring.
